The company Ržišnik Perc turned to us for a December programme with a different twist, not just an ordinary union trip. Not a lot of sightseeing, but an emphasis to animate the participants and to leave them in awe at the end. They had a problem that less and less people started to go on their trips so they needed a different concept.
For them we prepared a one day trip to the Slovenian and Croatian Istria. They saw the inland Slovenian Istria which is less known among Slovenians. The region is known for their great cuisine, so truffles were the main theme. An experienced guide and seeking dogs led them to a field where they looked for truffles, then headed to a nearby restaurant where they knew all about them and how to prepare them. Then they tried their hand in a fuž-making workshop and ended the day with wine tasting and a delicious istrian dinner with home-made fužes with truffles. The trip exceeded the expectations – without major sightseeing, but still very interesting and dynamic. That it was truly a success showed the fact that the next year they signed up another bus-load of people.
